Face Painting Workshop

It is fun trying out new designs. Even when they are not picture perfect there is always something new to learn. A new colour combination, sponge technique, flick of the brush or just an abstract thought brought to life on a living canvas. I thought this blog would be a great way to put forth my creative out pourings on skin-as-canvas without publishing them on our main website. Mostly because Pass-the-Parcel are children's entertainers and this art would not particularly be plausible, appropriate or desirable at kids parties.
I hope that viewers get something out of this experience as much as I did.
For our mainstream work please see www.pass-the-parcel.com.au.
Stone Girl (painted at Jinny workshop Feb 2010)
My lovely 9 year old daughter as my model.

This was just a "pet" project (excuse the pun) as a collaborative effort with me and my 9 year old.
My 4 year old son was a very patient & willing model.
We did this full body in under 15 minutes.
He then ran around in his underwear for an hour (in the middle of winter).

A self portrait. I have no idea what it is...
I was just mucking around with metallic blue and symmetry.
It is very messy, but I like where it was going and may
revisit it when and if I find the time!
Just a bit of fun experimenting with some one stroke cakes and body painting!
